What to Expect During Your Treatment?

Initial Assessment

You can feel pain because of inflammation, trauma, injury or poor posture. We begin with conducting your thorough health assessment to determine if your condition requires this treatment. Our physiatrist evaluates your condition, reviews your medical history and discusses your symptoms. We will do your physical checkups to feel the tension or inflammation in the pain area. 

We will ask you whether you have a bleeding disorder or taking medication for infection. You should also inform us if you are allergic to latex or lidocaine. You will be unfit for the treatment if you have taken aspirin or other blood thinners within three days of your appointment. We will confirm all these information to determine your eligibility for the treatment.

Treatment Process

Our physiatrist will set your position. We will either make you lie down or sit comfortably based on your pain area. We do this to make your muscles relaxed before starting your treatment. We will then use ultrasound to see the internal situation and identify the trigger points. Then we will clean the area and pinch your skin above your trigger point. 

After that, we will insert the injection with medication a few centimeters away from the point at a 30-degree angle. We may do it multiple times until all the affected muscles receive the medicines. Our physiatrist will also use pressure massage to spread the medicines inside your body. At last, we will apply bandages on the injected area. The entire process will take a maximum of 30 minutes. 

Post Procedure Care

You will start to feel instant relief after we inject you. However, you have to wait for a few days to feel the full effects. Our medical professionals will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions. We may recommend physical therapy or exercises to enhance your recovery.

Follow Ups
